CFA PILES

Continuous Flight Auger (CFA) piling offers a fast, efficient, and adaptable foundation solution suitable for a wide range of ground conditions and project types.

This method is virtually vibration-free and among the quietest piling techniques available, making it especially well-suited for urban environments where minimising noise and disruption is crucial. With its low impact and high performance, CFA piling is an excellent choice for tackling complex construction demands.

APPLICATIONS

CFA piles are highly versatile and effective across a broad range of ground conditions, including gravel, sand, silt, clay, weak rock, and mixed strata. Their adaptability makes them a reliable foundation solution for residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects alike. Whether providing stability in loose soils or penetrating complex ground layers, CFA piles deliver dependable performance for a wide variety of construction needs

CFA piling is a replacement method where piles are formed by drilling to the required depth using a hollow stem continuous flight auger. Once the target depth is reached, concrete is pumped through the auger’s hollow core while the auger is gradually withdrawn at a controlled pace.

As the auger is extracted, soil arisings are brought to the surface and cleared, leaving behind a column of freshly placed concrete extending up to the working platform level. A reinforcement cage, tailored to the specific project design, is then inserted into the wet concrete to complete the pile.
